frequently asked
questions

If you have any further questions please email contact@jamforfreedom.com

1. How many fields there are to camp in?
There is one field for artists/ staff, one for families and one for general camping. So, 3 in total.

2. The pitch size allocated per tent and how close together will the tents be
There is lots of space. You can expect to have a spacious 5-10 metres squared per person. Most people will be bringing smaller 3 birth tents, so expect the latter amount of space to be available. Camping space will be organised to be space efficient but not cramped. You'll also have plenty of space to enjoy by the main stage, in our farmhouse cafe/ bar, our Stand in the Park barn, holistic health market and much more on the main site.

3. The number of toilets and showers allocated for the potential 400 members of the public?
We'll have 17 toilets on site, including one disabled toilet, with 12 of them being in building 'proper' toilets close to the main stage. There are 6 showers on site, so expect short queues for the showers most of the day... although the showers are in earshot of the mainstage so expect an entertaining short wait! There are also mirrors in the 'proper' toilets and shower area for checking up on your beautiful faces and for any fun festival make-up! Enjoy our organic skin care range here: www.freedomgardenorganics.com

4. The details of the terrain for pitching tents, eg stoney, sandy, a field normally used for livestock?
The terrain for camping on is on clean, healthy grass that is not used for livestock or grazing. Cattle are grazing in fields behind the stage, so that will be quite a nice view!

5. What is the projected distance between each tent?
As mentioned in answer 2, there is lots of space. So if you bring a large 6 berth tent, expect to have space around it to set up chairs or form a communal camp area with your neighbours and other families.

6. Is the field for camping quiet and away from traffic, bright LED lights and 5G masks?
The area is very rural and will be consistently quiet. It is adjacent to a country road with a very low amount of traffic. Some of the camping area will be located next to this road, although there will be trees and additional fencing separating this area.

Lighting
Some spot lights will feature on our camping site for safety, however they will be turned off at around 11PM and the only ones kept on will be at the check in points. There will be soft and ambient 'fairy lighting' across the campsite. Expect beautiful surroundings with minimum lighting for you to enjoy the moonlight and stars.

Far away from any 5G
We are far away from any 5g masts... about 5000 metres away to be precise from the nearest city or town with them installed. A field which is away from the general campsite has an electricity pylon which is secured by fences, this is around 200 metres from the camping area.

7. Which company is managing this event?
The event is managed by an highly experienced core Jam for Freedom team alongside dedicated volunteers, stewards and SIA registered security.

8. Where will the Organic breakfasts served and how far away to the camping field(s) will this be?
Delicious, locally sourced and organic breakfasts will be served within a minutes walk from the campsite, close to the main stage. Freshly roasted organic coffees are available throughout the festival and all at a fair price considering the quality. We have a dedicated seating area with plenty of benches, tables with parasols for shade and an indoor seating area with sofas and tables. Otherwise you can easily bring any meals back to your campsite. Our menu caters for all diets and we will be announcing some special partners and suppliers who will bring our catering to the next level! Tasty, healthy and hearty food is central to the ethos of the Jam for Freedom Festival.

9. Is there drinkable springwater nearby?
Yes! Fill on up! Purified springwater can be taken from at an outdoor tap in the middle of the festival site, or at any of the taps inside the toilet block. There will always be free spring water available within a minute walk from your campsite, and much closer when you are enjoying the main stage area. Our showers are also powered by this same purified spring water, so you can enjoy a perfectly natural scrub and clean before and after the days festivities.

10. What is the actual area of the camping field(s).
There is at least 7000 square meters of camping available to the general public. So we can fit in approximately 500 six-berth tents (3 metre x 3metre), with an additional 3 squared metres of space each. So you'll have lots of space for socialising, putting up tent pegs, chairs and a camp area for your families and friends to meet if you choose to.

Doors open at 11AM on Thursday with activities from 1PM. We recommend you arrive on the Thursday to ensure you enjoy all the festival has to offer! On Friday- Sunday doors will be open from 9AM-5PM, so if you can't join us from Thursday just join us whenever most convenient from Friday onwards! Make sure to leave plenty of time so you get to us before we close the gates!

CAMPING
All tickets include a space to camp if needed. There will be activities every morning from 10am as well as freshly cooked organic breakfasts so its recommended you stay on site to have the best experience. If you require a hotel, there are many nearby in Milton Keynes city or Buckingham that are within a 15-20 minute drive or taxi.

CARS AND VANS
Can I bring a van or car to park or sleep in?  Simply add a parking space onto your ticket purchase and we'll reserve you a space. We only have 150 parking spaces on site, so get these whilst you can! These can only be purchased online, via the 'Buy Tickets Here' button.

to offer their services for a discounted rate (massage, tarot, reiki etc).

LOCATION
Our private and secure farm is protected by a team of SIA trained 24 hour security, 5 metre iron gates and a fenced off perimeter. Our event is fully licensed. However, to ensure no gatecrashing and maximum safety, we will keep our location private until 1 month before the event. This will be sent privately via email to all guests. Do not share this location. It is just a 15 minute taxi or drive from Milton Keynes Central station. For those looking to book a hotel nearby, consider Milton Keynes city or Buckingham centre which is a short drive or taxi away.

ID REQUIRED!
If you are lucky enough to look under 25, our security and stewards will require ID to ensure we can safely give out our adult wristbands and allow entry.

TICKETS FOR YOUTH AND JUNIORS
As a courtesy we have given a 100% discount on all attendees aged 11 and under and almost half price discount on those
12-16. Our security and stewards will be at the ticket gates to ensure attendees are aged accordingly.
Attendees under 18 years old will require a parent or guardian to gain entry.

DISABLED ACCESS
Our event is accessible for the disabled both on site and in our parking area. Please note, there may be strobe lighting. Please email us for details or any questions. We are able to offer a free ticket for the carer or personal assistant of a disabled person. Please email us to apply for this free ticket at contact@jamforfreedom.com

BBQ'S AND CAMPFIRES
Due to safety risks, BBQ's and open fires in the campsite are prohibited. Come and enjoy our freshly made organic food, including street food, breakfasts and more in the main area just a minute walk from the campsite.
DOGS AND PETS

At the moment, due to the intimate size of the campsite and location dogs or pets will not be suitable. As the festival grows in future years I would expect that we could have a 'dog-only' camping zone. Dogs needed for disabled assistance are allowed.

I'm sorry we can't accommodate your lovely pets, I hope you will still come and enjoy the amazing line-up, organic and local food as well as 75+ artists, comedians, free workshops, mineral water, hot showers and so much more!

T&C's

All tickets are non-refundable, however if you cannot make the event, drop us an email and we will do our best to re-sell your ticket for you free of charge.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to email us at contact@jamforfreedom.
